Alleged CVS Shoplifter No Track Star
Police said Paul Seeds attempted to take $137 worth of merchandise, but was followed by an employee and caught.
A Deptford man wanted on several warrants couldn't outrun a CVS employee after allegedly shoplifting $137 worth of merchandise two weeks ago.
Police said Paul D. Seeds, 45, was loaded down with two DVD players, two sets of eyeglasses, a screwdriver, a bag of peanut M&Ms and a bag of Butterfingers when he was confronted by an employee inside the CVS at Ogden Road and Mantua Pike just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Seeds fled the store with the stuff, and an employee followed him over Mantua Pike to his home on Glenside Drive in Oak Valley.
That's where West Deptford police, with the help of officers from Deptford, arrested him a short time later.
Seeds, who served two years in prison on shoplifting and theft convictions in 2008, was hit with a shoplifting charge, but West Deptford officers found Seeds also had outstanding warrants out of Brooklawn, Bellmawr and Camden, and was wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
West Deptford police turned him over to officers from the Gloucester County Sheriff's Department, who took him to the county jail.
