Drive-By Paintballing Tops West Deptford Crimelog
The following information was provided by the West Deptford police department.
Photos
–Vandals fired paintballs from a car driving down Red Bank Avenue and struck another car on June 15. No permanent damage was done.
–A camouflage backpack was stolen from the West Deptford High School locker room on June 15.
–Vandals dented and damaged three air conditioners owned by the same person at the Westwood Court Apartments on Tatum Street on June 16.
–Vandals keyed a car parked on Foxton Court from the driver’s side door to the rear bumper on June 17.
–Thieves stole a multicolored canvas handbag from an unlocked car parked in the bulldog lot at West Deptford High School during the graduation ceremony on June 18. The handbag contained a pair of credit cards and a driver’s license.
–Vandals smashed out the rear window of a motor home parked in front of its owner’s residence on Shivers Avenue on June 20.
–An iPod and a Garmin GPS were stolen from an unlocked car parked on Indian Road on June 20.
–Vandals took a pallet of shingles at the Gloucester County ARC on Gateway Boulevard and left them strewn all over the parking lot on June 20.
–A backpack with a Motorola page, a Kodak camera and a hardcover book was stolen from the bed of a pickup truck parked on Asbury Avenue on June 20.

Unfortunatly the parents of these kids need to give them more love and attention...I live in a very private secluded area of WD and there are 3 neighborhood kids who disturb the neighborhood at ALL times. Unfortunatly they are not being caught..my dog was recently stabbed..in my own back yard. Sad thing is .. i know who did it..i just cant prove it. Even in these quiet areas these kids parents dont care so they let them run around like animals. It saddens me.

I am so sorry about your dog. I hope it is OK. I have three dogs and I can't imagine how I would feel or what I would do.
Whoever did that definately needs psychiatric help. It breaks my heart that people have kids and don't care enough to raise them..I try not to be terrified of the future but it is hard.

The kids in WD are some the rudest I've been around. I'm not sure if there's something in the water but the kids on my street really act like little punks. I'm moving out of this town in the next couple of months. I can't wait!

Swiggles - that kills me too! That is a common occurrence on my street. I live on a cut through street so there's usually a lot of cars coming through. The kids yell at the cars and I've seen them throw things at cars because the cars slow down because they don't want to hit the kids because they don't move out of the way. I hear horns honking and wheels screeching because these kids are almost always getting hit. The parents just sit in their homes and drink. I've about had it. I'm moving to a town where parents are more involved. I have 2 young children and I don't want them ending up like these kids around here.
