Help State Police Solve a Fatal Hit-and-Run
The accident happened on I-676 Saturday; a woman injured in the crash died.
The New Jersey State Police need the public's help to find the driver who fled a fatal accident scene on Saturday.
The accident occurred at 11:40 a.m. on I-676 northbound by exit 4 in Camden. Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2005 to 2008 black Nissan Xterra. Its airbags may have deployed and the vehicle will have heavy front end damage, heavy hood damage and a smashed windshield.
The suspected driver is described as a white male in his late 20s, 5-foot-10 with brown hair and tan skin. He was wearing jean shorts and a white or light colored shirt, and may have a tattoo on his lower arm.
Police said the Xterra's occupants got out of the car following the accident but fled via exit 4 when they saw the damages and injuries. Several people in the other car were injured and a 29-year-old women died of her injuries.
