National Park Bank Robbed at Knifepoint
The Bank on North Grove Road was hit Wednesday.
National Park police were on the hunt Wednesday for a man who allegedly brandished a knife while robbing the branch of The Bank at the corner of Grove and Wesley avenues.
Initial reports indicated the robber, who was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants, apparently fled the bank on foot after the robbery, which was reported just after 5 p.m.
No injuries were reported in the robbery.

This is what happens when there are no cops around. Sharing a police force with a town that is not even neighboring is never a good idea. All of the police were probably in Westville when this went down.

So you're suggesting that the cops would've been at that bank branch during the time of the robbery if they weren't also responsible for Westville? The average police response time is 3 to 5 minutes for an emergency call, and I'm willing to bet this robbery took place in under 1 minute.
Believing that police prevent crime is the same as believing a fire department prevents fires. Both are reactive, not proactive, entities.

Good point, John. I'm just glad no one was hurt. My girlfriend worked in a bank several years ago when men came in and robbed the place. No one was seriously physically injured but the psychological damages were long lasting for some. The guys had guns and the employees were threatened with their lives if they did not cooperate. My friend was hospitalized, checked over, given medication, and released to home. She never went back to that job ever again. I probably would have had a heart attack. I can't imagine the stress levels. I hope they catch these guys.
