Robbery and Assault Among This Week's Indictments

Of the 19 people indicted by a grand jury last week, several allegedly committed crimes in Woodbury and Deptford.

 

The following individuals were indicted by a Gloucester County grand jury last week:

  • Patrick E. Cassady, 43, of Westville, for arson and theft by unlawful taking on Feb. 2, 2012, in Westville.
  • Dneill J. Battle, 24, of Clementon, for robbery, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and burglary on Aug. 30, 2012, in Greenwich Township.
  • Terrell D. Garvin, 27, of Turnersville, for robbery, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, burglary, aggravated sexual assault during a crime, sexual assault, threaten to kill, sexual assault by force or coercion and aggravated assault with a firearm on Aug. 30, 2012, in Greenwich Township.
  • Kayla J. Miller, 20, of Pine Hill, for robbery, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief and burglary on Aug. 30, 2012, in Greenwich Township.
  • Paulino T. Bond Jr., 26, of Clementon, for robbery, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft by unlawful taking criminal mischief and burglary on Aug. 30, 2012, in Greenwich.
  • James E. Quinn, 55, of Sewell, for two counts of criminal attempt to lure or entice a minor into a motor vehicle on Jan. 31, 2012, in Deptford.
  • Nicholas A. Stansbury, 41, of Westville, for bias intimidation, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and threatening to kill on Oct. 16, 2012, in Westville.
  • Steven Gibson, 50, of Sewell, for contempt of judicial order on dates in between February 2012 and April 2012 in Washington Township.
  • Amanda L. Muff, 26, of Hammonton, for child abuse on Aug. 6, 2012, in Monroe Township.
  • Johnny W. Huffman, 50, of Sewell, for threatening to kill, contempt of violation orders and obstructing administrative law on May 26, 2012, in Washington Township.
  • Joseph Matteo, 54, of Deptford, for threatening to kill, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes on Aug. 8, 2012, in Deptford.
  • Muzzafar Ahmet, 39, of Clayton, for sexual assault by force or coercion, criminal sexual contact and criminal restraint on March 5, 2012, in Clayton.
  • Armando B. Olivera, 18, of Penns Grove, for possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a defaced firearm, threatening violence and aggravated assault with a firearm on Dec. 3, 2012, in Logan.
  • Byron T. Crawford, 30, of Salem, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and threatening violence on Nov. 1, 2012, in Logan.
  • Salvatore Vinci, 41, of Gibbstown, for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a knife or club on Sept. 22, 2012, in Logan.
  • Matthew F. Celeste, 30, of Williamstown, for theft by illegal retention on Nov. 21, 2012, in Mantua.
  • Robert A. Shelton, 28, of Sewell, for theft by unlawful taking on Aug. 26, 2012, in Washington Township.  
  • James D. Carr, 48, of Glassboro, for operation of a motor vehicle during a license suspension on March 21, 2012, in Deptford.
  • Harold L. Thomas Jr., 52, of Woodbury, for eluding by failure to stop and receiving stolen property in Woodbury.

And indictment is a formal charge, not a judgment of guilt.
