Revenge is sweet.

Revenge on a rival with a conference championship on the line is that much sweeter.

West Deptford’s boys’ lacrosse team got just that on Rival Sunday, demolishing Haddonfield, 16-4, in a lopsided rematch at Eastern High School.

The Eagles, who had lost at Haddonfield, 6-5, just two weeks ago, claimed the Olympic Conference title with the win.

Haddonfield had been in the driver’s seat for at least a split of the conference title until getting upset by Bishop Eustace, 8-7, back on May 4, opening the door for the Eagles to take the crown by themselves.
