The first loss of the season didn't linger long for the West Deptford field hockey team, which dispatched Gloucester, 2-0, under the lights at West Deptford High School Monday night.
Rachel Krott was the playmaker on the night, setting up Brooke Brown's tip-in goal 10 minutes into the game, before adding an insurance goal herself midway through the half.
The Eagles played stifling defense from then on out, in marked contrast to what happened in their 4-1 loss to Collingswood at the end of last week.
West Deptford, which is now 4-1 on the season, next faces Haddon Heights in another night game Wednesday at home.
