A day after taking a 10-goal loss to Clearview in the Gloucester County Cup, the West Deptford girls’ lacrosse team got it back together, outscoring Sterling, 9-3, in the second half to win, 16-8, Friday.
Maddie Waschko led the Eagles with five goals, and Emily Whalin added a hat trick and a pair of assists to help seal the win.
Other scoring came from Gabby Minnite (three goals), Rachel Krott (two) and Deanna Szymborski, Jess Hill and Carly Joie (one each).
The girls are off until Monday, when they face Seneca at home in a 5:15 p.m. game.
