Looking for some Halloween spooks? Look no further than West Deptford’s public library.

Packed with pumpkins, scarecrows, haunted tales and zombies, the West Deptford Free Public Library offers Halloween fun for every age group this October.

The fun kicks off Oct. 2 with “Scarecrows on Parade.” In partnership with the West Deptford Historical Association, the library invites all local teens to come out and create a scarecrow of their very own. All scarecrows will be on display in the library till Nov. 4.

The West Deptford Historical Association will also help to host a pumpkin decorating contest for all ages. All certificates will be awarded by age group—ranging from child to senior. Even the librarians will be getting in on the fun, as they create their own pumpkin—lovingly named Dewey.

Teens will really be in for a treat when the library hosts “Zombie Night” on Oct. 23. For the first year ever, teens will arrive at the library dressed in zombie drag and leave fully transformed into horrifying zombies. All makeup will be provided by the library, as teens learn how to create some spooky zombie faces.
