West Deptford, Camden Police Unite to Find Alleged Murderer Juan Law

Juan Law, 19, was arrested by West Deptford Police on Sunday afternoon. He is a suspect in a double murder that took place in November 2011.

An eagle-eyed Camden City police officer on the hunt for a fugitive in a double murder set off the chain of events that brought Juan Law into custody in West Deptford Sunday afternoon.

Law, a 19-year-old from Camden, was arrested on Sunday afternoon in West Deptford. He was considered a fugitive after being wanted for the murders of Tarik Ali and Tara Ryan on Nov. 11, 2011.

A Camden City police officer spotted Law at 3:15 p.m. around the area of Highbridge Lane, according to West Deptford Police Chief Craig Mangano. The officer alerted West Deptford Police, who proceeded to flood the area in search of Law.

West Deptford Ptl. Frank Mullin eventually spotted Law in the parking lot of the Susquehanna Bank at the corner of Kings Highway and Parkville Road. Police converged on Law and he was arrested at the spot. Law was transported to the Camden County Prosecuter's Office.

A second suspect in the case, 20-year-old Antoine Jones, was arrested Friday night. Both of them appeared at the Camden County Hall of Justice on Monday morning for arraignment on two counts of murder each.

Ryan, 39, was a Woodbury resident, while Ali, 37, lived in Maple Shade. They were gunned down in a car in Camden.
