Westville's Frank Lindeborn Gets 18 Months for Neglect
Lindeborn admits to being asleep while his daughter roamed alone down Broadway at 4 a.m.
A Westville man who pleaded guilty to abuse or neglect of a child was sentenced Friday to the maximum penalty for that crime, after he admitted to neglecting his 5-year-old daughter last year.
Frank H. Lindeborn, 29, will spend 18 months in state prison after admitting he was asleep when his daughter was found wandering alone down Broadway at 4 a.m. on Aug. 30, 2011.
At sentencing, Superior Court Judge Walter L. Marshall Jr. said the fact Lindeborn is a repeat offender—he has previous convictions for theft and unlawful possession of a weapon—weighed in handing down the maximum for the fourth-degree crime.
Lindeborn will get credit for some time served, after being in the county jail for just over two months after being brought in on a bench warrant for failing to appear on the abuse charge on June 11.
