Last time I went to an event ran by these old crusty dinosaurs the head of this Nazi party chewed up…Read More a teenager for stating her opinion. The child ran out of the room crying. That was the day these old crusty women and her organization lost all credability with me (and many others).

Take the easy way out - for about $20 plus or minus with tip go to the Mexican guys in Quakertown.…Read More They are on the south bound side where the old battery warehouse was - directly across from the big car wash on 309. They did my SUV for $25 including generous tip - inside and out, dressed the tires and did the windshield about 3 times! These guys are fantastic and really do a great job for the money.

Judy- you stated there was a first attack. Is there forensic evidence other than testimony explained…Read More by Medical Examiner, Police, Experts, Martinez or Nurmi that there was a first attack precipitating the stabbings, throat cutting and shooting. Or are you basing the first attack on Arias's testimony by the bathroom shower, when she was taking pictures and claimed to have dropped the camera when he grabbed and then body slammed her?
I don't think we will ever know the truth about what set her off. On the other hand, addressing your other comments: the premeditation evidence severely mitigated her insanity defense. And even though expert witnesses explained her behavior using academic etymology, in my opinion this insulted the jury's intelligence, evinced by their questions.

Mischa, you're right- it's been years since Toyota built a fun car. Lets face it, Toyota builds…Read More appliances that people who know nothing about cars buy because they're a safe bet. Nothing wrong with that, but even a run of the mill Honda has more excitement than a Toyota.

I think it is easy for people to get "stuck" in the numbers because they believe it gives…Read More them some sort of marker for the progression of their overall well-being. Unfortunately they are not trained to understand that individual numbers are not as meaningful as the overall assessment of many things by their doctor. It must be difficult for you to get them to live every moment to the fullest, to follow your advice and just enjoy living (even with all the tough treatments and the feeling of hopelessness). I have a Google alert on Paths of Glory so this came my way as do all other on-line discussions…Read More about this extraordinary film. When the conversation is at least semi-intelligent I join in. You guys will dump on me for saying this but I'm the world's leading authority on POG, having spent six years researching it's genesis and production and made a recently finished feature documentary about it. Kubrick had a career-long disdain for bureaucratic authority and POG is more anti-that than anti-war. Though the film shows war as an abomination, it saves it's ammo for the generals and their crazy behavior. The fact that the "enemy" is never shown implies that the enemy is ourselves. This is fortified in the ending where the invisible enemy finally appears in the form of a frightened and lovely girl (Kubrick married her after the film wrapped) ironically representing everything the soldiers hope they are fighting for - home, wives, daughters, the lives they left behind and may never have again. I could go on about what I believe is a masterpiece and, in spite of it's famous director and star, an unfairly marginalized film.
Paul J. DiBartolo May 25, 2013 at 01:44 pm
Okay, you all talked me into it. I just added it on NetFlix and moved it to the top of my queue.

Rich, Tammy: Did any expert-level medical person ever state that they thought the fight and the…Read More seizures were connected? Second question: when does people's perception of events become "true?"-When they write it on paper? When they write it on social media? When they speak it in an interview? When it's spoken among friends? When it's written in a journal? When does something become "true?" If multiple people are writing/saying the same thing, and their perception of that thing shaped events, then it is noteworthy to reveal what they said. Everyone has their own perceptions of every event; it's when perceptions are shared among many that they are noteworthy to report. That is what has been done here. You're not mad at the article, you're mad at perceptions that differ from your own.

Rich, Firstly I am sorry for your loss. As stated in the article, it was the medical examiner who…Read More said that there were no broken bones and no trauma found that could connect the schoolyard fight to Bailey's death. If that is, as you claim "totally inaccurate," that is something you ought to take up with the medical examiner and the sources who are speaking to the press, because that is what was stated at a press conference on May 13th. As reported by the Delaware County Times, "Sources indicated the autopsy on Bailey O'Neill did not indicate any evidence of trauma related to the fight..." Secondly, the article does not say that anyone in the family has participated in any of the racial comments. Nothing I found out during my investigation indicates that either. I did not write the article hoping to imply that anyone in the family had been participating in the racist comments. Those comments have come from the community and were pulled and quoted exactly as they appear under news stories online. If people interpret that the family is/was participating in racial comments then those people are not comprehending the story correctly. With regard to "lumping the family together," the article details the comments and behavior from two distinct Facebook pages and does not mention anyone by name specifically. It is up to the reader to do their own research and come to their own conclusions after the facts are presented. I'm sure your clarification will assist them in doing so.

Hi Sean, love your reviews. Please keep them coming!
As an old Trek I fan wanted to point out…Read More one little detail you missed: Benedict Cumberbatch plays Khan, the genetically augmented Prince who led the Eugenics wars in the 1990's. The terrorist thing was just a cover. Go view "Space Seed" from the original Star Trek series and Star Trek 2: The Wrath Of Khan for the backstory on him :). The movie is filled with many references to the various Trek series and movies to appeal to us old geezers who watched the older movies when they first came out including the character of Carol Marcus (Kirk's 23rd century geek version of a "Baby Momma").
I saw the movie in a theater filled with half old people and half "new fans". Half of us were squeeeeeing at the references (e.g. Section 31, "Khaaaaaaaaannnnnnn") and the other half were just yeowzaing at the effects.
To many of us, this film was a "Hey fans, I'm sorry for the script of the 2009 reboot. I hired an actual fan to write this one." They way he left the film with the re-launch of the 5 year mission lets the movie start where many people hoped it would: the 5 year mission the original Enterprise was on in 1966.
There are a lot of good movies playing this summer and I look forward to reading your reviews on each of them.
