3 Appointed to GCC Foundation Board of Directors

Deptford Twp.  – The Gloucester County College Foundation approved newcomers Isabelita M. Abele, Michael Carrocino and Michael L. Girone to its board of directors on Thursday, Dec. 12.

Abele, president and CEO of U.S. Lumber, Inc., has been featured among South Jersey Biz magazine’s Outstanding Entrepreneurs and Philadelphia Business Journal’s Top 50 Minority-Owned Companies and Top 100 Women in Business listings. She currently presides over U.S. Lumber, a private company that averages $5 million in annual sales. A native of the Philippines, Abele takes pride in breaking down barriers unique to women and minorities.

Carrocino, facility manager at ExxonMobil Corporation, possesses more than 30 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry. He guides a 75-person staff and oversees a $20 million operating budget as well as a $1-5 million capital budget that supports 700 employees at a multi-building research and engineering complex since 2007.

Girone, senior director of Leadership & Development at Agilent Technologies, has served in an array of management capacities for more than 31 years. Throughout the tenure of his career, he has advised human resources personnel on matters of talent management and devised leadership training initiatives for executives and employees alike. Girone’s knowledge is extensive, having worked in field sales support, information technology and corporate sales and marketing.
