Deptford High School Students Take Home Awards from the Berklee High School Jazz Festival

Students from Deptford High School competed in the Berklee High School Jazz Festival hosted by Berklee College of Music in Boston. Deptford High School competed against over 200 bands featuring nearly 3000 students from 13 states across the country. Deptford High School’s own Pavan Chary and Shane Fanning were each awarded for their outstanding musicianship. Pavan was also awarded for his musicianship. Both the Deptford Jazz Combo and Deptford Jazz Ensemble competed this year. The largest event of its kind, the Berklee High School Jazz Festival is in its 46th year.
