GCC Awards Process Technology Certificates

Deptford Twp. – Twenty-one students received certificates on Wednesday, July 17, after successfully completing the 16-week Process Technology Certificate Program at Gloucester County College’s Continuing Education Center.

The Process Technology Certificate Program is an intense, concentrated curriculum focusing on the skills needed to become basic operators in a variety of manufacturing facilities such as chemical, oil product, food, pharmaceuticals, power generation, pulp and paper, refining, and waste treatment.  The 96 hours of training was divided into four 24-hour modules. GCC worked with local industry and businesses to develop the fast-track certificate training program courses that include Introduction to Process Technology, Safety and Environmental Health, Basic Instrumentation and Process Equipment/Process Documents. Sponsors participating in the program include COIM USA Inc. of West Deptford, Johnson Matthey of Paulsboro, Nustar Asphalt, LLC of Paulsboro and Solvay Specialty Polymers of West Deptford. 

Gloucester County College’s 250-acre campus is located on Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
