Merchantville Resident Recognized with Legislative Ceremonial Resolution
State Senator James Beach, Assemblyman Louis Greenwald and Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt, have honored Merchantville resident Jason J. Ramos with a Ceremonial Resolution in recognition of his selection as recipient of the 2013 Trade and Vocational School Scholarship Award from the New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA), the state-wide trade association for investor-owned utilities that provide essential water, wastewater, electric, natural gas and telecommunications services.
The resolution praised Ramos as “an admired young resident” and “a developing citizen whose energy and achievements help us glimpse a future filled with hope and promise.”

Valued at up to a total of $6,000, the Trade and Vocational School Scholarship is awarded to a qualified student who will be pursuing a trade or vocational degree at an accredited school. Ramos was chosen among 23 applicants statewide.
“New Jersey’s investor-owned utilities recognize the raw talent available in the state’s future workforce. Providing promising students with scholarships to fulfill their higher education goals is just one small part of an overall effort to further enhance these skills,” said Andrew Hendry, NJUA President and Chief Executive Officer.

Made possible through financial support by NJUA’s member companies, the NJUA Scholarship Program recognizes promising New Jersey high school seniors and provides funds to help these deserving students obtain college or technical/ vocational degrees.
