Open House Aug. 14 For GCC’s New Academy of Lifelong Learning

Deptford Twp. – Gloucester County College will host an open house for its Academy of Lifelong Learning, a new initiative designed specifically for baby boomers, Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. 

Offered through the Division of Continuing Education, the academy facilitates workforce and professional development in addition to personal enrichment opportunities to individuals who are at least 50 years of age. Students receive an all-access membership with benefits at the College for an annual fee of $90. Privileges associated with the program include free/discounted GCC Continuing Education classes, degree completion assistance and access to campus resources.

Non-credit courses and seminars range from career planning and computer literacy to hands-on health and wellness workshops. Examples include “Job Search and Social Media” and “Get to Know Your iPad.”

The open house will take place at the Continuing Education Center on the GCC campus, located at 1492 Tanyard Road in Deptford, right off Exit 56 of Route 55.
