Roll Call: Stars Needed for GCC Productions of "The Odd Couple"

Deptford Twp.  – Gloucester County College Theater Director Rose Gruber will hold open auditions for the College’s spring productions of the Broadway hit “The Odd Couple” beginning Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.

Known for its dialogue-driven humor, “The Odd Couple” tells the story of Felix Unger, a neurotic news writer, amidst a failing marriage. Thrown out by his wife, he is forced to room with Oscar Madison, a spendthrift sportswriter with a gambling problem. The dysfunctional dynamic of the duo unfolds over a series of poker nights with friends. Although he means well, Felix is uptight and hypercritical. Oscar, the opposite, is laidback to a fault.

The College will also produce the women’s version. This rendition features Florence Unger, Olive Madison and company as well as games of Trivial Pursuit. Show performances are slated for the weekends of March 27-29 and April 3-5.
