West Deptford Historical Association's Fall Festivals

The West Deptford Historical Association and the West Deptford Township Committee is sponsoring “Scarecrows on Parade” to celebrate the fall season in the township.  Families, local businesses and organizations are encouraged to decorate a scarecrow between October 4 and October 14 that will be on display on RiverWinds Drive until November 3rd.  Participants fill out an application, pay a $10.00 donation to the West Deptford Historical Association and are assigned a light post to decorate with their scarecrow or fall theme display.  Entry forms with rules are available at the Information Desk of the West Deptford Free Public Library, 420 Crown Point Road, West Deptford, NJ. Celebrate fall and decorate West Deptford for the Harvest!

Another fall program sponsored by the West Deptford Historical Association is the “Great Pumpkin Event.” All West Deptford pumpkin decorators are invited to bring their decorated pumpkins to the West Deptford Free Public Library from Thursday, October 24 through Saturday, October 26 to display their creative designs in the library. Pumpkins should be decorated, not carved and should be family friendly. Please pick up all pumpkins by November 3. Come be a part of the talented pumpkin decorating artists who live in West Deptford.
