West Deptford Resident Wins Freshpet's "United for Fresh" Patriotic Pet Photo Contest!

West Deptford resident, Arlene Loveland’s  Australian Shepherd, Sheila, has been chosen as one of the winners amongst hundreds of entries in Freshpet's “United for Fresh” photo contest! She found out about the contest through the Lost and Found Dog Rescue where she is on the board of directors. As a winner, Arlene’s pup is crowned one of the “Four Fathers of Fresh” and will be featured in upcoming social media campaigns for Freshpet. With the year supply of Freshpet food she will receive as part of her prize, Arlene plans to donate all the fresh pet food to the Lost and Found Dog Rescue program in Delaware. She and her husband also work together to raise money to purchase bullet proof vests for the police dogs of Gloucester County.

Freshpet, the only company making fresh, refrigerated dog and cat food in the U.S.A., has announced the winners of their “United for Fresh” photo contest. The “United for Fresh” photo contest was part of Freshpet’s consumer outreach program entitled Patriotic Pets running now through Labor Day, with the goal of educating pet parents on what is in their pet’s food, where it comes from, and to reinforce that every pet deserves the freedom to eat food made from fresh meats and veggies farmed locally. Hundreds of pet parents entered the contest by uploading a picture of their fur-kids wearing patriotic gear. Prizes: • The first one hundred (100) entrants received a free “Made in the U.S.A.” item just in time to show off their American pride on the 4th of July • Four (4) Grand Prize Winners, two were chosen via fan vote and two by Freshpet employees, each won a year’s supply of Freshpet healthy food and will be featured on Freshpet’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages. The winners’ photos can be viewed at www.freshpet.com/united-for-fresh: o Michael Viola and his dog, Buster, from Florida o Sara Lundberg and her kitty, Watson, from Beaverton, Oregon o Arlene Loveland and her furry family from West Deptford, New Jersey o Shelleen Weeks and her pup, Waldo, from South Dakota • Every submission counts! For each entry received one package of Freshpet dog or cat food will be donated to an animal shelter or rescue in need. "Our company was founded on the simple idea that fresh, less processed foods are healthier for us and the pets in our lives," says Scott Morris, Co-Founder and President of Freshpet. "With the ‘United for Fresh’ photo contest we hope to educate consumers about the importance of what goes into their pet’s food, and give animals in shelters and rescues a chance to benefit from eating our healthy recipes, too."
