Woodbury Board of Education Receives Safety Awards

The Woodbury Board of Education (BOE) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 2013 Safety Award from the New Jersey School Boards Association Insurance Group (NJSBAIG). The Woodbury Board of Education is one of 43 districts to receive this award from over 400 districts in NJSBAIG’s workers’ compensation insurance pool.

The Woodbury BOE was recognized with this award because it had implemented an effective safety program, minimizing workers’ compensation costs. This benefits both students and taxpayers, with fewer substitute teachers needed, and lower insurance premiums being paid by the district.

In addition, the Woodbury BOE also received a Tier I Safety Incentive Program Award from School Alliance Insurance Fund (SAIF).  Through this award, the district was credited $3,000 toward the 2013-2014 workers’ compensation and/or package assessments.
