Woodbury City Public School District Schedules Public Budget Meeting for October 30

The Business Operations Committee, a subcommittee of the Woodbury City Public Schools’ Board of Education, will be holding a public hearing on the district’s budget on Wednesday, October 30 at 7 p.m. in the Junior-Senior High School auditorium.

The purpose of this public hearing is to solicit feedback and input from parents, residents, and other taxpayers in the development of the district’s school budget. This meeting does not take the place of the public budget hearing, normally scheduled in late March. Rather, it offers the public the opportunity to voice their constructive suggestions and concerns about the budget prior to the creation of the final 2014-2015 school year budget. By collaboratively working with the public now, the board members hope to maintain a fiscally-responsible budget that meets the needs of students and taxpayers, while also staying true to the district’s mission statement and strategic plan.
