There was a housewarming party going on in Woodbury Saturday.
Hope Christian Fellowship, located on the corner of King and South Warner streets in Woodbury, opened its doors to its neighbors during an open house on Saturday evening. Pastor Mark Ott and members of the congregation showed off the newly renovated building, which previously housed a synagogue. Those renovations included numerous energy-saving changes, which earned the church the prestigious Energy Star designation. Only 14 other churches have ever earned this distinction.
The evening of food and friendship ended with a concert by the Christian rock band Compelled.
