Lion King Production to Benefit Child With Rare Heart Condition This Weekend

The Royal Dance Academy will perform a production of The Lion King to benefit a little girl with a heart condition on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Washington Township High School

The recital will benefit Mackenzie West, a 3-year-old with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). HLHS is a rare congenital heart defect in which the heart's left ventricle is severely underdeveloped.

The academy consists mostly of dancers from West Deptford, and the cast consists of dancers who range in age from 2-21.

The performance begins at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $20.
