Mayor's Holiday Food and Toy Drive Underway

West Deptford residents have until about Dec. 10 to donate canned good, clothes or toys to local families in need.

In what has become a holiday tradition, West Deptford is currently holding its annual Mayor's Holiday Food and Toy Drive.

Collection bins have been set up around in various locations around West Deptford. Some of the buildings that have bins include the RiverWinds Community Center, the West Deptford Municipal Building, the West Deptford Free Public Library and at the ShopRite on Mantua Pike.

Township administrator Eric Campo said that letters have been sent out to all West Deptford residents informing them of the drive. Campo also said that the township is gathering a lists of families to which the food, clothes and toys will go to after being collected. In a few weeks, township officials will gather all of the items collected and distribute them among the families in need in time for the holidays.
