West Deptford Runners Dash Across Delaware in Bridge 10K

Check out who among your neighbors finished the 2012 Run the Bridge 10K.

Twenty West Deptford residents strapped on their running shoes and dashed above the Delaware River Sunday morning for the annual Run the Bridge 10K.

The race—the largest of its kind, sponsors say—saw runners trotting across the Ben Franklin Bridge to benefit the Larc School in Bellmawr for special needs students. This year, 3,262 runners crossed the finish line—1,288 men and 1,964 women.

One West Deptford runner—14-year-old Richard Greatrex Jr.—finished in second place in his age group.

As a mother of a student at Larc School, I want to thank everyone who participated, helped, ran, or supported this endeavor in any way. Our daughter, Victoria, has been at Larc for 13 years, and we couldn't imagine a better school. Thanks to all!
