"A Christmas Story"

Woodbury:  The Sketch Club Players of Woodbury is presenting the well-known and fondly remembered “A Christmas Story” in their theater at 433 Glover St. in Woodbury, NJ beginning Friday, 2 December at 8:00 p.m.  Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself. The consistent response is: “You’ll shoot your eye out.” All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, including the famous leg lamp, Scut Farkas, the wet tongue on a cold lamppost, Ralphie’s fantasy scenarios, and more.  We are featuring a fabulous cast of local children and a few of our veteran SCP performers.
