Gloucester County College - Jag Club Presents Shonen Knife!

Shonen  Knife’s infectious-yet-melodic sound draws on 1960s pop icons   like the Beach  Boys and late 1970s post-punk, New Wave bands such as   the Buzzcocks. Positive,  carefree lyrics in both English and Japanese   paired with driving baselines have  prompted fanfare from alternative   heavyweights Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Fugazi and  Redd Kross. The  band’s career highlights include serving as an   opening act for Nirvana.  This tour pays homage to Shonen Knife’s greatest influences,  the Ramones, and also celebrates the act’s 30th anniversary.
