Get Out: Dinner and a Show

Check out five events in the area centered around cuisine, drink and the theater!

After a long week at you work, you deserve a little time off! Take that special someone out for the classic combination of dinner and a show–with Patch's help of course. Below are five events suited for all kinds of tastes. Bon apetit!

Moon Over Buffalo

  • Where/When: The Ritz Theatre Company–915 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township, NJ. 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, September 17. 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18.
  • What's Going On: In this comedy, the amusingly dysfunctional Hay family are frenzied by the possibilty of being performers in a Frank Capra film. Written by Ken Ludwig, this play features sword fights, tempermental children, philandering husbands, mayhem and mishaps.

Eagles, Sushi, Sake and Wine

  • Where/When: Mikado III–793 East Route 70, Marlton, NJ. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18.
  • What's Going On: Enjoy a tasty prix fixe Japanese menu while watching the Eagles game. Try some compimentary wine tasting while the Birds fly to another victory!
  • Pricing: $30

Brews Blues & Barbeque

  • Where/When: The Electric Factory–421 N. 7th St., Philadelphia, PA. 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. show* and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. show on Saturday, Sept. 17.
  • What's Going On: Sample over 70 craft beers from around the world and barbecue from 15 grill masters who will be competing for your vote for Best in Philly! Chicken, brisket, and ribs will be served while you listen to classic blues pumped through the Electric Factory's legendary sound system and try the best craft beers around.
  • Pricing: $55

The Burlington County Footlighters Present "Mame"

  • Where/When: The Playhouse–808 Pomona Rd., Cinnaminson, NJ. 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17. 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18. 
  • What's Going On: "Life is a banquet" in this musical adaptation of the stories of Patrick Dennis. The madcap starlet "Auntie Mame" becomes the guardian of her impressionable nephew, and her life turns a new corner into adventure, love and music!
  • Pricing: $18

Italian Market Tour with Philadelphia Urban Adventures

  • Where/When: 9th Street Italian Market–South 9th Street between Catherine and Wharton streets in Philadelphia. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
  • What's Going On: Tour the famed Philadelphia Italain Market with the seasoned tour vets from Urban Adventures. Learn the history of the markets, get tasty authentic samples, and while you are at it, have yourself a Philly cheese steak.
