Get Out: Free Admission Weekend

Get Out this weekend to three rock shows and two art exhibits with no admission cost!

South Jersey (and, OK, Philadelphia sometimes) is still the place to be this summer! Below are five events with free admission and a great way to spend the day or rock the night away.

Dog Bite Money

  • Where/When: South Delsea Drive Park–Delsea Dr., Glassboro, NJ. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.
  • What’s Going On: Rock out to the sounds of the classic rock cover band Dog Bite Money as they play a free outdoor show! This group of mail carriers play everything from ZZ Top to Aerosmith.
  • Pricing: free

Cooper River Fine Arts Festival

  • Where/When: Cooper River Park–McClellan Blvd. and N. Park Dr., Pennsauken, NJ. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 31.
  • What’s Going On: Thousands of handmade works of art from artists across the country will be on display at this weekend at Cooper River Park. Artists from nineteen different states and overseas will be there to show off their work, all of it for sale.
  • Pricing: admission is free

FrankenSabbath

  • What’s Going On: Try great locally grown wine, delectable food from Chef Danielle and Grillmaster Jeff, and listen to some live music. Eclectic acoustic musicians FrankenSabbath play songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra to Black Sabbath.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

Northern Liberties: A Transformation

  • Where/When: 629 N. 2nd St., Philadelphia, PA. Noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30.
  • What’s Going On: Get inspired by a group exhibition featuring work from 10 neighborhood artists including Anda Dubinskis, Ray King, Rob Matthews, Ray Metzker, and Tanya Murphy Dodd. There will also be short readings and a commissioned video titled "Northern Liberties" by John Thornton.
  • Pricing: Admission is free

Separate Ways

  • Where/When: –1000 RiverWinds Dr. West Deptford, NJ. 8 p.m. on Friday, July 29.
  • What’s Going On: Experience the ultimate Journey tribute band Separate Ways as they roll out hits and obscure classics from the arena rock champions of the Seventies. Bring a lawn chair and purchase drinks and food from Botto’s Italian Line Restaurant.
