Get Out: Jersey Boys and Fresh Brews

Treat yourself to an outdoor concert, a comedy on stage, or beer tasting on a battleship this weekend!

Who said there aint no cure for the summertime blues? We have five! Get Out is back again with five events to keep your weekend moving in the right direction. Can you dig it?

Lights Out- A Tribute to the Jersey Boys

  • Where/When- Broad St. and Curtis Ave., Woodbury. 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 19.
  • What’s Going On: The four-man a cappella group Lights Out will be playing a tribute show for “Jersey Boys,” a musical based on the career of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Lights Out has a unique sound and has opened for such acts as Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood, and made their name singing the national anthem at Phillies games.
  • Pricing: Free admission

  • What’s Going On: Don’t miss the longest running comedy in “Off-Broadway” history: Jewtopia. This comedy written by Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson is about two friends nearing their 30th birthdays who decide to change their ways of dating based on religion. Presented by the Collaborative Act Studio.
  • Pricing: Tickets range from $25 to $35

15th Annual Garden State Craft Brewers

  • Where/When: The Battleship New Jersey–62 Battleship Place, Camden, NJ. 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 18.
  • What’s Going On: Sample over a dozen local area beers at this annual event aboard the Battleship NJ! Enjoy live music from the Cabin Dogs and take a self-guided tour of the ship at this rain or shine event!
  • Pricing: $45

Summer Concert Series - Desert Highway

  • Where/When: –1000 RiverWinds Dr., West Deptford. 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17.
  • What’s Going On: Bring your own lawn chair and check out New York’s premiere Eagles tribute band at this free local show! Desert Highway has been together for less than three years and has gained the reputation of being the “truest sounding Eagles tribute band in the country.” Food from Botto’s Italian Line Restaurant will be sold.
  • Price: free

Jersey Jam for MS Charity Concert in the Park

  • Where/When: Haddon Lake Park–13th Ave. and Prospect Blvd., Haddon Heights, NJ. 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 18.
  • What’s Going On: Check out eight up-and-coming bands including Love Alive, John Magill and the Have Nots, and Suzie Brown at this free outdoor concert. Funds made from raffles and donations will go toward benefiting the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
  • Pricing: Entrance is free
