Get Out: Kansas, 3-Course Meals and Shaved Heads

Get out this weekend and enjoy a concert from a rock legend, help raise money for cancer research, take part in a murder mystery and more!

Spring is here! Celebrate it with a rocking concert, some live Irish music and a good cause, a celebrated nature artist, a three-course meal at an art museum, or an interactive murder mystery play.

Kansas

  • Where/When: –315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood, NJ. The show begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 18.
  • What’s Going On: Don’t miss the legendary rock group Kansas, responsible for such hits as "Portrait," "Dust in the Wind" and "Carry On Wayward Son." This five-man classic rock powerhouse will be playing for one night only-so don’t miss it!

 Till Death Do Us Part: Murder Mystery Play

  • Where/When: African American Museum of Philadelphia–701 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA. Saturday, March 19 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Hair Du Jour productions presents a one of a kind murder mystery stage play- set to the music of a live band! Play along with improvisational actors and enjoy plenty of food and drink. Arrive prior to the 7 p.m. show for live jazz.
  • Pricing: $30, which includes the price of food and drink

 The Natural History of My Backyard

  • Where/When: Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education- 8480 Hagy’s Mill Rd., Philadelphia, PA. Saturday, March 19 from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Witness the genius of Philadelphia artist MF Cardamone in this exhibit of mixed media artwork. Cardamone has incorporated plants from the Schuylkill River area for this display that reveals the life history of plants in a complex and visually brilliant format.
  • Pricing: Free

  • Where/When: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 26th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA. Meals take place on Friday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and brunch on Sunday, March 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Get in on the opening weekend celebration of the upcoming Roberto Capucci exhibit with a three course meal from Granite Hill. The all inclusive package includes the meal, a ticket to the weekday exhibit and an illustrated catalog, titled Roberto Capucci: Art into Fashion.  Collingswood Firefighters for a Kid’s Cure

  • Where/When: –315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood, NJ. The event goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Join in on the fun and support a great cause as area firefighters shave their heads in the seventh annual St. Baldrick’s event. Money raised will go to childhood cancer research. Enjoy drinks, Irish themed music from the Broken Shelaighlies, food, Chinese Auctions, and of course—the head shaving!
  • Pricing: $10 donation for guests 12 and older.
