Here's a slate of what awaits you this Presidents Day Weekend.

Want to get out without taking a vacation? Luckily, you live in an area that has all kinds of events going on. Here are five handpicked by Patch that are sure to get your weekend going in the right direction.

Presidents Day Celebration

  • Where/When: Second Bank of the United States, 420 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA. Tours are Saturday, Feb. 19 and Sunday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: Enjoy a free tour of the Nation’s Second Bank as they celebrate Presidents Day Weekend. There are more than 200 portraits in this national monument, including those of six presidents. Park rangers will be leading tours in this free event where you can learn more about these pivotal figures in American history.

  • Where/When: Barrington Coffee House, 131 Clements Bridge Rd., Barrington, NJ. Saturday, Feb. 19 from 8 to 10 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: “South Jersey’s Favorite Son” Mike Volpe plays live with the contemporary sound of the Skys. The multi-talented musician has been bringing his soulful sounds the Delaware Valley since 1965, performing in a series of accomplished bands and solo projects through the decades.

 Watson Adventures’ Munch Around the Market Scavenger Hunt

  • Where/When: Reading Terminal Market, North 12th and Arch streets, Philadelphia, PA. Saturday, Feb. 19 at noon.
  • What’s Going On: Embark on a clever scavenger hunt to discover the wonders of the Reading Terminal Market and nearby Chinatown. Unlike other scavenger hunts, this one combines tasting different foods with tricky clues and other surprises. Watson Adventures is known for creating scavenger hunts in museums and other venues around the country. Bring $10 cash for food purchases.

  • Where/When: Collingswood Community Theater, 315 White Horse Pike, Collingswood. Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
  • What’s Going On: The Collingswood Community Theater presents the legendary Andrew Lloyd Weber musical! Set to a myriad of musical styles including country-western, pop, and rock and roll, this rendition of the Old Testament tale has been popular for decades and is now coming to Collingswood.
  • Pricing: $15 for adults and $10 for kids and students. Tickets are available up to 30 minutes before the event.

 Wine 101: Intro to Wine

  • Where/When: Wine School of Philadelphia, 2006 Fairmount Ave., Philadelphia, PA. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19.
  • What’s Going On: Since 2001, this has been one of the most popular wine classes in Philadelphia. Learn how to swirl, smell, and taste wine along with other interesting tidbits and dispelled myths. This class takes place in a relaxed atmosphere where you can drink the topic at hand. Tickets sell out for this event quickly!
