Get Out: Musical Escapade

Check out five different musical venues throughout the South Jersey region this weekend!

South Jersey rocks! Or salsas, composes, jams out or jives–whatever you like this weekend. Below are five different musical performances that will hopefully slake any musical thirst. Enjoy.

Hotlanta

  • Where/When: Red Hot and Blue–2175 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ. 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23
  • What’s Going On: This eight-man Allman Brothers Tribute Band is ready to groove into the night at Cherry Hill’s premiere blues venue. Enjoy southern style barbecue along with hits like "Jessica," "Midnight Rider" and "Whipping Post."
  • Pricing: Entrance is free, the food is priced reasonably.

Lucky Dub at the Legendary Dobbs

  • Where/When: Legendary Dobbs–304 South St., Philadelphia, PA. 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
  • What’s Going On: Legendary Dobbs presents the funk and rock-reggae based band Lucky Dub. This band has lit up stages all over the DC area and brings their funky sounds to Philly. Joining them will be John & Brittany, LOVE AUTOMATIC,  Geron Hoy, and the local power trio Close to Good. 
  • Pricing: $8

Burlap and Bean Presents Jeffrey Gaines

  • Where/When: Auburn Road Winery/ Enoteca–117 Sharptown-Auburn Rd., Pilesgrove, NJ. Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
  • What’s Going On: Check out an encore show of the soulful pop artist Jeffrey Gaines as he takes the stage at Enoteca. He will be joined by special guest Anna K. Jarosz! Chef Danielle will be serving up a fabulous dinner prior to the show. Reservations are required for this event. Check the website for details.
  • Pricing: $22

LauraLea and Tripp Fabulous

  • Where/When: Ott’s On the Green–340 Greentree Rd., Washington Township, NJ. 9 p.m. on Friday, April 22.
  • What’s Going On: Check out this experienced, hard-rocking band fronted by singer LauraLea Taraskus. This hard hitting frontwoman and her bombastic band hails from Philadelphia and has played covers and originals all over the tri-state area.
  • Pricing: $5 cover

Peter Nero and the Philly Pops: Springtime in Paris

  • Where/When: Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall–260 South Broad St. on the Avenue of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
  • What’s Going On: Let maestro Peter Nero take you on a fanciful ride through works from Debussy and Ravel to Cole Porter. The event will focus on pieces from France and saluting France and include the talent of glamorous vocalist Lisa Vroman.
  • Pricing: $32-$76
