Celebrate Earth Day, Glen Saturday, Gustafer Yellowgold, or Cinderella this weekend with the whole family!

Wondering how to celebrate Earth Day with the whole family? In the mood for a kid's concert or play? We got you covered!

Glen Saturday, A Scottish Celebration

  • Where/When: Garden State Discovery Museum–2040 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. Noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
  • What’s Going On: The South Jersey Scottish Highland Dancers and bagpiper Rick Young will take the stage in honor of this traditional Scottish holiday. Kids will also be able to make their own family tartan and create daffodils to adorn their home. The stage shows will start at 12:30 and 3:00 p.m.
  • Pricing: The show is included in cost of admission$10.95 for adults and children 12 months and over, $9.95 for seniors.

Cinderella

  • Where/When: The Broadway Theater of Pitman–43 South Broadway St., Pitman, NJ. 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15 and 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
  • What’s Going On: Witness the magic of this classic tale come to life on stage! Cinderella is at the mercy of her evil step mother and jealous step sisters until she is given the chance of a lifetime by her fairy godmother. Will the prince find the girl that matches the enchanted slipper? Find out this weekend!

Peanut Butter and Jams Welcomes Gustafer Yellowgold

  • Where/When: World Café Live–3025 Walnut St., Philadelphia, PA. 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16.
  • What’s Going On: Morgan Taylor brings his character Gustafer Yellowgold and his friends to life with animated images set to his catchy story telling songs in this one of a kind performance. Kids of all ages and adults alike have enjoy the adventures of Gustafer and his friends Forrest Applecrumbie, the flightless Pterodactyl, Asparagus and the math whiz Mustard Slugs.
  • Pricing: $12 for adults, $9 for kids ages 1 to 12, and children under 1 are free.

  • What’s Going On: Dye eggs the natural way this year! Make beautiful creations by dyeing your eggs with natural dyes such as onion skins, red cabbage, beets, spices, grape juice and candle-wax in the 18th century Bake House. Have fun and take home half a dozen uniquely decorated eggs! Advanced reservations are required.
  • Pricing:  $18 for general admission, $10 for children

Green Festival

  • Where/When: Along Irvin Avenue in Collingswood, NJ. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.
  • What’s Going On: The Third Annual Green Festival is here just in time for Earth Day! Check out educational booths, tons of vendors, music and food. There is even a special Kid’s Zone where you can learn how to make the world a greener place.
