TRIA Gallery Brings a Splash of Color to Woodbury

The new art gallery will feature the work of multiple artists in a variety of media.

Main Street Woodbury submitted the following news release:

On Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, TRIA Art Gallery will celebrate its grand opening at 67 Cooper St. in Woodbury, starting at 10 a.m. with music and refreshments from 6 to 10 pm. The opening will coincide with National "Shop Local Day" which is being sponsored locally by the Gloucester County Economic Development Department and the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce.

The grand opening will feature 10-15 artists in an "Art Bazaar" environment with many pieces of art to purchase including original hand-made ornaments reasonably priced just for the holidays.

Brainstorm of local artist and business owner, Tom Mirochna, along with artists Regina Friel and Doris Nogueira Rogers, the gallery will feature many different media including oil painting, watercolor, pottery, glass work, mixed media, metal sculpture, jewelry, charcoal and acrylics, by a variety of artists.

Mirochna states, "We really want to showcase all the amazing talent we have in the Delaware Valley and make it easy to collect art at all price levels and appeal to all tastes."

Main Street Woodbury, the organizer of the recent and hugely successful Fall Arts Fest, envisioned Art playing a larger role in reshaping Woodbury's economic future. This is a great step forward toward that goal.

Woodbury's Economic Development Committee Chair, Harry Trout states, "Every new business brings us one step closer to revitalizing Woodbury's downtown and when our residents are making an investment here we know we are on the right track."

TRIA Art Gallery is housed in a vintage, circa 1900s building with pine floors and tall airy windows. The gallery will showcase local artists' work and will rotate new artists throughout the year.

TRIA's doors will officially open on Black Friday, Nov. 23 at noon.
The gallery will be open every Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also visit the gallery by appointment.

The new TRIA Art Gallery will also be on the Greater Woodbury Garden Club House Tour on Saturday, Dec. 8. For ticket info please call 856-848-8634.
