Whiz Kid: Shannon Livewell

Accomplishment: Made it back to Hollywood on American Idol for the second straight year.

Key to Awesomeness: There's talent, and then there's talent that perseveres. Livewell made it to the Hollywood round last year, got cut, and still came back for another shot. It's rare enough to get one chance on the show, let alone two, and she gave it her all–and even though she was cut from the show Wednesday night, you have to admire her spirit. And because Idol wasn't enough, Livewell was also performing a lead in the GCIT spring play as the Hollywood competition began airing last week.
