Warm Week Ahead

Just how warm will we get this week? Find out in the PatchCast for the first week of October!

Temperatures are going to be well above normal for the first week of October. It will feel more like August. If you are a fan of fall weather, you will have to wait until the upcoming weekend for cooler temperatures. The normal high for this time of year is 72 degrees.

High pressure will be in control today, October 1st. There will be a few clouds around, but it will be a very nice October day with a high of 75.

Low pressure will be pumping in tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday, October 2nd. This means that it will be a warm and humid day with a high in the low 80s. There is a chance of a few showers or some drizzle, but the day won't be a wash-out.

Tropical moisture will continue to be pumped in on Wednesday, October 3rd. It will be a very warm and humid day with a high in the mid 80s. There is a chance for some spotty showers or thunderstorms during the day, but there should be less rain around than on Tuesday.

High pressure will build back in for Thursday, October 4th, yielding a mostly sunny day. It will be less humid with a high of 80, still well above normal for early October.

We'll remain under high pressure on Friday, October 5th. We'll enjoy a mix of sun and clouds with low humidity. The high temperature will be in the upper 70s.

A cold front will come through on Friday night, bringing with it cooler air from Canada. Saturday, October 6th, will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a high around 70 -- just about normal for this time of year.

Sunday, October 7th, is really when you'll notice the change of the cool air from Canada. The high temperature will only be in the low 60s with a mix of sun and clouds.

Enjoy the warm week ahead and be sure to check in with Phillyweather.net throughout the week!
