Wawa Moves Ahead with Expansion of Crown Point Road Store

Gas pumps will be added to the convenience-store chain's location in West Deptford.

A demolition crew reduced the former Ciconte's Italia Pizzeria on Crown Point Road to a pile of rubble last week to make way for the expansion of Wawa next door.

Wawa is adding a gas station to the convenience store.

The store will remain open during construction, which is expected to be completed by spring 2013, said Wawa spokeswoman Lori Bruce.

"We are pleased to be able to enhance the offerings and simplify the lives of our customers in the West Deptford region," Bruce said in an email.

Ciconte's relocated to the former Helen's Greentree Restaurant on Grove Street.

Pat, I live in Woodbury, and I agree. It will be a very convenient location at which to fill up.
