Calling all West Deptford business owners: tell us your Small Business Saturday deals!

West Deptford Patch is compiling its own list of shop-local specials for those who don't buy into the crush of traffic at the mall and big-box retail outlets on Black Friday. 

If you're into eating your Thanksgiving dinner around the table with your family, putting your feet up on Friday, and easing into the shopping madness of the commercial season over the weekend, then this is the guide for you.

It's easy to participate. Just send an e-mail to matt.skoufalos@patch.com with:

1. A description of your best seasonal special deal or sale. (What is it? What does it do? What does it cost?)

2. A nice picture of it.

3. Any information about special terms or conditions of the sale. (Buy one get one? Limited quantities? Discounts for West Deptford residents?)

All responses must be received by Friday, November 23 at 9 p.m. 

If we get enough interest, you can look for our guide next week, and get help crossing stuff off your shopping list in the places where your dollars will support your neighbors and local business owners.

Small businesses can include home-based businesses, restaurants, esty shop owners, and many others.

Small Business Saturday is “a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities,” says the U.S. Small Business Administration. American Express gets the credit for founding the shopping holiday, which got its official start Nov. 27, 2010.
