Regional Business Council Recognizes South Jersey’s Jidan Cleaning as Minority Supplier of the Year
The Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) named Medford-based Jidan Cleaning its Supplier of the Year, during a ceremony held Dec. 6 at Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia. PA-NJ-DE MSDC is a regional affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, which strives to advance business opportunities for certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business enterprises.
The MSDC’s Supplier of the Year award is presented to companies that distinguish themselves by demonstrating growth in both sales and employment while overcoming adversity, and which provide superior goods or services, enhance minority business-to-minority business purchases, and contribute to society and the local community. Jidan, founded in 2005, captured the award for the Class 1 category, with annual sales under $1 million.
“Being a certified minority-owned business is very important to our business identity, and it has afforded Jidan Cleaning some wonderful opportunities,” says Patricia Claybrook, president and CEO of Jidan Cleaning. “So it’s very special to be recognized by the Minority Supplier Development Council, which does such great work on behalf of minority-owned companies.”

“It was a great night to celebrate corporate diversity and supplier excellence,” said Wade Colclough, president and CEO of the PA-NJ-DE MSDC. “It was gratifying to honor our corporate members for providing contract opportunities for diverse MSDC-certified MBEs and to recognize those MBEs who consistently provide stellar service to corporate America.”
This marks the latest recognition for Jidan Cleaning, which in 2012 earned the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers’ Small Business Growth Success Award for 296 percent growth over the prior two years. This fall, Claybrook completed Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses – Philadelphia, an intensive business management curriculum from Babson College for promising small companies.
