1. Tuesday Tea with a Twist: Classic Book Talk

Tuesday, May 14 at 10:30 a.m.—West Deptford Free Public Library

"Calling all classic book and movie lovers! Join us at the West Deptford Free Public Library for a lively classic book discussion of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The book talk will be followed by viewing the 1974 film, The Great Gatsby, featuring Mia Farrow and Robert Redford. Reviews will be posted to the West Deptford Reader Reviews Blog. Refreshments served."

2. Deborah Sampson and the American Revolutionary War featuring Anne Pasquale

"This presentation brings to life the story of Deborah Sampson, the “Secret Soldier,” a remarkable American woman who disguised herself as a  man in order to serve in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. This program is in conjunction with the WDFPL History Project 2013 — A New Jersey Perspective on the American Revolutionary War. Actress and writer Anne Pasquale tours the area with her one-woman Living History programs."

4. West Deptford Township Committee Meeting

Thursday, May 16 at 7 p.m.—West Deptford Township Municipal Building

Elected officials discuss policy, hear remarks from the public and present reports from committee members. The agenda for the meeting has not yet been released, but might include introduction of the 2013 municipal budget.

5. Boy Scout Troop Car Wash

Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m.—1261 Red Bank Ave, West Deptford, NJ 

"West Deptford Boy Scout Troop 295 is having a car wash fundraiser on Saturday. Please stop by and have your car washed and support the troop! We will also have hot dogs and soft pretzels for sale."
