GCAS Adoptable Pet of the Week: Prada

Prada's puppies have all been adopted into loving homes; now she needs a loving family.

The following was provided by the Gloucester County Animal Shelter.

Meet the beautiful Prada! She is a 2-year-old, female, Pit Bull Terrier mix.

Prada was found as a stray after her family abandoned her and her seven puppies. Our hearts sank for Prada when she was found to be heartworm-positive. Our staff quickly fell in love with this gentle girl and knew she deserved a chance at living a great life.

Prada found a wonderful foster mom who took her in and gave her lots of love and TLC while she was treated for heartworms. Prada’s foster mom tells us that she is a happy-go-lucky, friendly girl that loves to run and play fetch. When you show her attention, she just wiggles her whole body with excitement and smothers you with kisses.

Prada would be perfect for an active family that will enjoy playing fetch with her and taking her for walks. She gets along well with other dogs and she is great around children.

Last week’s Pet’s of the Week were our rabbits. We’re happy to report that one rabbit has been adopted, but we still have 2 others waiting for a home!
