Giveaways, Police Demos at Deptford Community Day

Deptford's Community Day at the local mall offers something for everyone.

From the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office:

Featuring demonstrations by law enforcement agencies and others and giveaways by local businesses, the Deptford Township Community Day will be held Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Deptford Mall.

The event will be outside the Sears/Ruby Tuesday side of the mall and in an inside mall court. Sponsors are the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, the Deptford Anti-Crime Partnership, Deptford Mayor Paul Medany and the township council, and the Deptford Mall.

Participants include the Gloucester County S.W.A.T. Team, the county Highway Traffic Safety Unit, the Deptford Police Department and fire departments, Deptford Mall vendors, the Southwest Council Drug Alliance, the Heritage Neighborhood Watch, Residence Inn/Fairfield Inn and the Deptford Public Library.

Demonstrations and activities will be offered by the Gloucester County Health Department, NJ CEED (Cancer Education and Early Detection), the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department (child car seat safety), Deptford Township (drunk driving simulator for teens), the Gloucester County Animal Shelter, Act I Dance Studio and Mennelli Karate.
