Gloucester County Memorial Day Service Will Feature Sweeney As Speaker

The state Senate president will deliver the address at the annual ceremony at the county veterans cemetery.

State Senate President and West Deptford native Stephen Sweeney will be the guest speaker at the annual Gloucester County Memorial Day Sunday.

The ceremony, which will be held at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuckahoe Road in Williamstown starting at 1 p.m., will feature a wreath-laying to honor fallen soldiers, and will conclude with a rifle salute and “Taps.”

The ceremony is open to everyone, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and arrive early. Limited seating will be available under the Committal Shelter, and the ceremony is held rain or shine.
