Obama Goes 0-For-5, Christie Scores in Boardwalk Football Game
'One and done,' governor says, after scoring in 'Touchdown Fever' game in Point Pleasant Beach
Leave it to a New Jersey native to best even President Barack Obama at a Shore boardwalk game.
As the president and Gov. Chris Christie toured the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk Tuesday, the operator of the "Touchdown Fever" attraction tossed Obama a football with five tries to win a stuffed animal for throwing the ball through a tire.
After Obama missed on his first four throws, Christie lined up and made his attempt, apparently scoring on his first try.

"One and done," Christie could be heard saying as he received a high-five from Obama.
"That's 'cause he's running for office," Obama joked, before he threw—and missed—his final shot.

The president wouldn't walk away empty-handed, however.
The game's operator handed over a Chicago Bears stuffed animal to Obama in honor of his home city.
After the visit to Point Pleasant Beach, the pair headed to Asbury Park, where Obama addressed a large crowd that had assembled on the boardwalk there.
