RiverWinds' Ho-Ho-Holiday Celebration Slated for Friday

The community center's annual holiday party will feature crafts, music and a visit from Santa Claus.

A holiday tradition comes to the RiverWinds Community Center again on Friday with the 10th annual Holiday Celebration throughout the day.

Many of the celebration's main events take place in the early evening into the night. At 5 p.m., the Lake Bridge Boys will sing holiday carols by the Christmas tree to help guests get into the holiday spirit.

From 6 to 8 p.m., kids of all ages can visit and have a picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Guests who enter the community center will draw a number if they want to see Santa. Numbers will then be called out in groups so that everyone will get their own time for pictures.

New to this year's celebration is a station that allows kids to create their own Santa wish list. Kids can take that list when they go to meet Santa as well.

In addition to Santa, there will be other activities for visitors to take part in. The West Deptford Little Theatre will perform songs throughout the night and children can make arts and crafts projects. People who need to get into the spirit can also watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas in the lobby.
