RiverWinds: Spookypalooza Will Not Be Rescheduled

The community center's annual Halloween event will not be held this year after being canceled because of Sandy.

While West Deptford was able to reschedule trick-or-treating for this upcoming Saturday, another Halloween tradition in the township won't happen this year.

RiverWinds officials said on Wednesday morning that they will not reschedule Spookypalooza for later this week. It will be the first time since the event first kicked off back in 2002 that it will not be held.

The event was originally going to be on Tuesday, but was canceled after RiverWinds closed for Hurricane Sandy. With the township moving Halloween to Saturday and cleanup from the storm still taking place in some areas, the decision was made not to reschedule Spookypalooza.
