Woodbury Library Gets Festive for the Holidays

A slew of upcoming events at the Woodbury Public Library will get local residents into the holiday spirit.

Woodbury Public Library has a number of holiday events coming up for local area residents to enjoy.

On Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. the library will be holding a special Holiday Story Time in conjunction with the city's Santa Parade that day. Story time will be held prior to the parade, at 5 p.m. The parade begins at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m., a cookie and candy swap called the South Jersey Swappers Sweets Swap will be held at the library. Participants can bring in their own, home-cooked holiday sweets and trade them for other people's snacks. You must RSVP for this event in order to attend. For more information, stop by the library's circulation desk or email the library at woodpublib@gmail.com.

Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. the library holds a calligraphy class. This month, the focus is on holiday greeting cards. The class could be a great opportunity to learn some new calligraphy techniques. The class is free and open to the public.

Woodbury Public Library is also collecting canned and nonperishable food for the holiday season. The food will be sent to the Greater Woodbury Ministry Cooperative, who will then send the food to the Food Bank of South Jersey.
