Election Day in West Deptford: What You Need to Know

Where do you vote? When are the polls open? Who's on the ballot? We've got the information you need.

It's Election Day 2013. There's a number of races, local, county, and statewide that will be decided by the people. Here's your guide to the slate before you head to the polls.

Local

TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
West Deptford Republican candidates Jeff Hansen and Gerald P. Maher will face Democrats Jim Robinson, Jr. and Adam Reid.

Both parties are running for the two committee seats vacated by Donna Szymborski (D) and Sean Kilpatrick (R).

WEST DEPTFORD SCHOOL BOARD
Four candidates are running for three seats, including incumbents Lisa Eckley and Amy DeGirolamo and challengers Cheryl Carroll and Steven CatandoRead their biographies in the district newsletter (click here). 

County

GLOUCESTER COUNTY FREEHOLDER
Republicans Margie Love and Ed Selb square off against Democrats Frank DiMarco (incumbent) and Dan Christy.

State

GOVERNOR
Incumbent Chris Christie is up against 18th district New Jersey State Senator Barbara Buono.

STATE SENATE
Incumbent New Jersey State Senator (and West Deptford native) Stephen M. Sweeney (D) will face Republican Niki Trunk, who is Deputy Chief of Staff for the state comptroller's office.

STATE ASSEMBLY
Third District New Jersey State Assembly Republican primary candidates Larry Wallace  and Bob Vanderslice face Democratic incumbents John Burzichelli and Celeste Riley.

Polling Information

Polls are open: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Can I vote?: Not sure you registered to vote in time? Check here.

Mail-in ballots: The clerk must receive mail-in ballots before polls close at 8 p.m. You can drop off your ballot at 550 Grove Rd., West Deptford, NJ 08066.

What if I have a problem voting?: First, talk to a poll worker. If it’s not resolved or your problem is with the poll worker, call the Gloucester County Board of Elections at 856-384-4500.
